We were lucky enough to talk to Wes Craig, artist of one of our Top Ten comics of the year: Deadly Class. After we got done squealing with the glee of a demon-child, we asked Wes to give us a few quick and dirty answers about how he got his start, and of course – which comics make it into his shortbox.

The end of 2014 and 2015 is shaping up to be a boon for Mignolaverse devotees. The Wolf and the Apostle, is another brilliant entry into the horror series, Baltimore. New to Baltimore? New to the horror comic genre? That’s OK – The Wolf and the Apostle is a good place to start for new readers. Werewolves, the Inquisition and making deals with the devil sound right up your alley? Follow me down the damp, blood-spattered cobblestone streets into the beginning of this new series.
Alright, big news this week as the Suicide Squad cast was made official. Instead of giving you analysis or opinions on what each actor is going to bring to the role, or how CrAzY the producers must be for X decision. Pretty cool news from one of our favorite Comic Cons, and one that we’ve covered here on the site, lifetime tickets to LBCC are pretty cheap as LBCC aligns a discount with the upcoming retail holidays. Check out the press release after the jump.
Cory Matthews (yeah, he knows he shares the name with the late 90’s/early 00’s derpy, curly-headed, Topanga-chasing lothario) is the creator of TnC Comics. Cory has written nearly 50 strips to date, with Eryck Webb illustrating. Cory has also launched a successful Kickstarter campaign so he can continue working on his passion project, and documenting his family history in a unique way. We talk with Cory about running a successful Kickstarter campaign, writing about his family and discovering his audience.
Happy Veteran’s Day, gang. We were debating on which service-related comics to review today (and we had a couple of ideas) but we remembered an awesome program we learned about from one of our earliest readers (@MegGoneGeek). Read on about Operation Gratitude, and how you can send comics to our troops.
Deadly Class is Kill Bill meets Dazed and Confused meets Saved By The Bell. Did you hear that? Highly-trained, deadly teens attending an assassin high school get into wacky hi-jinks. But instead of ruining a dance off at The Max… well, you know… what assassins do. With a Remender story and Wes Craig’s beautiful art Deadly Class is one of my favorite titles of the year. Find out why after the jump.
It’s that time again, one of pop culture’s most beloved franchises is making waves with a new movie and subtitle. You know, wretched hives of scum and villainy. Let’s take a look at the wide-range of reactions from The Internet.
